Veterans Day
This Saturday, November 11th at 11:00 a.m. the Town, in coordination with local veterans organizations, will be holding Madison’s annual Veterans Day Ceremony at the monuments on the Town Green. All are welcome to attend this commemoration service to honor those who have served our country in the armed services.
Strategic Plan Public Informational Meeting
The town will be holding a Public Informational Meeting on Monday, November 13th at 6:00 p.m., at Town Campus, Room A, and remote via Zoom to discuss a draft of the Town’s Strategic Plan. This draft plan is a result of community feedback received over the last 6 months through community surveys, focus groups, a visioning session, and a leadership retreat. It lays out a Town vision and mission statement and identifies our Strategic Goals and Objectives in Key Focus areas. We welcome your feedback on this draft document. Note that this draft does not include the implementation plan for Town government, which will be forthcoming.

Public Hearing on the Senior Tax Relief Ordinance Proposed Revisions
The town will be holding a Public Hearing to discuss and solicit feedback from residents on the proposed revisions to the Tax Abatement & Freeze Program for Certain Elderly and/or Totally Disabled Homeowners Ordinance. Town staff, the Board of Selectmen and the Board of FInance have been working together to streamline the application process, simplify the benefits, and expand the current program(s) to help some of our most vulnerable residents. The Public Hearing will take place on Wednesday, November 15th at 6:00 p.m. at Town Campus and Remote via Zoom. Madison Police Stuff-A-Cruiser
Madison Police Department will be collecting items on Friday, November 17th from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at Stop and Shop, 136 Samson Rock Drive for their annual Stuff-A-Cruiser. Items collected include: frozen turkeys, non-perishable food items as well as laundry supplies, personal hygiene items, pet food, and baby diapers all of which will benefit local families. We will also accept donations 24/7 until December 22nd at Madison Police Department Headquarters, 9 Campus Drive.

Madison Turkey Trot
The 45th annual Lenny & Joe’s Madison Turkey Trot will be held on Thanksgiving Day at 10:00 a.m. The 5 mile race and 2 mile walk with both start and finish is in the heart of Madison on the historic Madison Town Green. Small Business Saturday and Santa Comes to Town
Small Business Saturday comes to Madison on Saturday, November 25th. Businesses along Boston Post Road and Wall Street will be all decked out for the holidays. There will be something for everyone with hayrides, great shopping, music, food trucks, a live dance demo, and lots more. Children are invited to visit with Santa at the Cafe Allegre porch.
Tree Lighting
Friday, December 1st at 5:00 p.m. on the Madison Town Green. Join us for the lighting of the tree, music by Larry Stevens, Daniel Hand High School's a capella group Encore, hot cocoa from Madison's Scout Troop 490, a visit from Santa and Olaf and new this year - Ice Sculpting!
CT Energy Assistance Program Applications
The Madison Senior Services is currently taking applications for the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program for Madison residents age 65 and over. Please contact the Senior Center at 203-245-5627 to check for eligibility. Adults and families can contact Madison Youth and Family Services for eligibility assistance at 203-245-5645.
