Good afternoon, this is First Selectwoman Peggy Lyons with an update on the impact of the winter storm.
Currently, the Town has less than 200 customers without power and Eversource is informing us that Town wide restoration is expected by 6 p.m. this evening. We understand this has been very difficult for some residents who have been enduring frigid temperatures under great uncertainty over restoration.
If you are still without power, the Madison Senior Center is open today until 5 p.m. for warming up, phone charging and restroom facilities. If you are still without power after 5 p.m. tonight and need assistance, please contact the Madison Police Department at (203) 245-6500. They can provide you with information on overnight sheltering options.
Please also check on any elderly or disabled neighbors who may be experiencing an outage and contact the Madison Police Department for assistance. As always, if you are experiencing an emergency, please contact 911.
Stay warm and safe Madison and best wishes for a Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it!
Peggy Lyon
