Chamber and EDC Acknowledge 2 Individuals at Project Ceremony

Main St

Just in time for the increased traffic flow, the Madison Center Project has completely moved off of main street and the sidewalks as Madison center is decorated and readied for the holidays. The Economic Development Commission reports that the construction on the north side of town has been completed for the winter and all of the construction equipment and supplies have been removed from main street and the sidewalks. The new brick pavers have been installed from the intersection of Route 1 and Wall Street west to the Madison Hose Co. #1. Light polls and tree grates have also been installed. The light arms will arrive later in December with the light fixtures being installed next year. The trees will be planted in the spring. According to EDC Chair, Ryan Duques, all of the construction signage and traffic cones/barricades along Route One have been removed. The Economic Development Commission and Chamber of Commerce are hoping that residents and visitors will patronize the shops and cafés in town this weekend and view the construction progress.
