On October 13, 20202 the Board of Selectmen signed a Proclamation recognizing of the impact that domestic violence has on the health and well-being of our community; and proclaiming Wednesday, October 14, 2020 as Domestic Violence Awareness Day in the Town of Madison. This October, let us as a community remember that domestic violence is widespread, including one in three Americans who have witnessed an incident of domestic violence. And also that during these even more difficult times surrounding the impact of COVID-19, cases of domestic violence have been amplified. We urge our residents who are currently experiencing violence at home to reach out to support services.
