United Illuminating and Eversource remind customers to be mindful of downed wires when clearing brush and storm debris.

• Always consider them live and dangerous, even if they show no signs of being energized.
• Stay far away and avoid anything that may be in contact with them.
• Keep children and pets safely indoors.
