[ARCHIVED] Summer Hours Begin May 1, 2018

The Town of Madison Continues Summer Hours Schedule

Madison First Selectman Thomas J. Banisch announced today that the Board of Selectmen voted unanimously at their March 12, 2018 meeting to approve continuing a Program for the Summer Hours Schedule affecting Town Campus Offices, Madison Youth & Family and the Senior Center. The intent of this action is to provide service to the public beyond the traditional work day hours by staying open late on Thursdays. The Town Buildings will be open to the public from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; from 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, and from 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Summer Hours Program will begin on May 1, 2018 and end on August 31, 2018.

First Selectman Banisch stated that this Summer Hours Program was as a result of a successful Pilot Program launched during the summer months in 2017. In order to further benefit the public, the Town will begin the Summer Hours Program one month earlier than last year. “By starting the program one month earlier, the public will benefit from four more weeks of being able to conduct Town business outside of their normal working hours, eliminating the need to take time away from their careers in order to pay taxes, apply for beach passes, etc.,” the First Selectman added.
