Be it resolved, that in support of the Board of Selectmen prior action on March 9, 2020 and on April 27, 2020, the Board of Finance hereby approves the Lease Modification and Extension Agreement, as modified by the Board of Selectmen, granting Our Lady of Mercy Preparatory Academy of Madison a one year extension of the existing lease of the former Island Avenue School, at an annual rent of $400,000, and an option to renew the lease for an additional year with Board of Selectman approval; and in accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order 7CC, the Board hereby finds that such action is necessary to permit the orderly operation of the Town and that there is need to act immediately during the public health and civil preparedness emergency in order to prevent significant financial loss to the Town.
