3.Review and discussion by Dick Passero and Bill Stableford of our January 16 presentation to the CIP Committee; and Discuss and take action on monitoring the ACCD CIP application through the upcoming review by the BOS and BOF.
4.Report by Dick Passero:
(a) Jan 21 BOE presentation to the CIP Committee
(b) Projected bond payment schedule for Academy and the BOE capital expenditures
(c) Review of new BOF 10% annual capital expense regulation
(d) Organization, budgets, and revenue streams of select Connecticut community centers.
5.Review and discussion by Dick Passero and Bill Stableford about recent meetings with the First Selectwoman and Town Planner to:
(a) develop a usage plan for a community center in the Academy building
(b) research potential lessors/renters
(c) consider specialized theater architectural possibilities
(d) develop a public information campaign leading up to a referendum.
6.Presentation by John-Michael Parker about Arts For Learning, an organization of which he is executive director, and discussion of possible opportunities in a prospective community center in the Academy building.
7.Discuss and take action on providing information to outside groups that may publicly advocate for passage of a referendum on the Academy project; and Discuss options under consideration for timing of a 2020 referendum.
