Legal Assistance at The Senior Center
Attorneys Thomas Cronan, Michael Sweeney and Bradford Sullivan offer counseling services on a one-on-one basis. Appointments are first-come, first-served and each client is give a 15 minute appointment for free legal advice. These appointments are held on the third Thursday of every month. Elder Law & Legal Assistance for Medicare Patients
The Center for Medicare Advocacy, Inc. is a national non-profit, non-partisan organization that provides education, advocacy and legal assistance to help elders and people with disabilities obtain Medicare and necessary healthcare. The center is staffed by attorneys, nurses, legal assistants, and information management specialists. Each year the center represents thousands of individuals in appeals of Medicare denials. Consumer Law Project for Elders
Consumer Law Project for Elders offers free legal help for people 60 and over who have consumer problems. This is not a state program, but is offered through a private non-profit legal aid organization. If you need assistance with: questions about your rights as a consumer, deciding to file for bankruptcy, identity theft, disputes about purchases, and problems with loans or contracts. New Haven Legal Assistance Association provides high-quality legal services to individuals, families and groups in the greater New Haven area, who are unable to obtain legal services because of limited income, age, disability, discrimination and other barriers.
